Triple Trees
These OTec Triple Trees are the very best in the
world. You WILL NOT find better trees anywhere!
Trees come with the stem, and all of your stock
hard wear will bolt right on. They have a 1 1/2"
drop for clearance, TOP & BOTTOM. This
maintains the strength of the forks.
On other triple trees made of much less quality,
only the top tree is drop, reducing the distance
between the two clamps and allowing much more
stress to be placed on the forks.
Any sportbike USD forks will work with these trees.
We stock trees for forks with top diameter of 50mm
and mid diameter of 54mm. These will fit the R1 (all
years, '98-'06) USD forks and similar. If you would
like to use different dia. forks, like Hayabusa forks,
no problem, we will have them made for you (takes a
few weeks to get them here to the USA)
Putting a USD front end on your Vmax will improve
your handling so much, you will never want to ride
a stock set up again. Actually, when I get on a
stock bike is scares me a little, I don't know how
some of you do it, and more to the point, Why the
hell didn't Yamaha change this themselves???

When doing the USD front, this gives you the
perfect opportunity to upgrade your rims also. You
"can" just use a sportbike front rim, but matching 17"
or 18" rear rim would complete the set-up nicely.
We recommend Lightcon 17" rims, if you are looking
for the most bang for the buck (performace and
looks). Visit our RIMS page to see what we have.
At this time we are not stocking used sportbike rims,
it is just as easy for you to go on Ebay and pick up
a used front rim and forks. Use your head, read the
auction carefully and don't be afraid to ask the seller
a few questions. If we receive enough requests, we
will care the used parts needed.
In the near future we will post a
chart with bike models, years, and
fork sizes to help you.
