Carrozzeria (formally, Hi point) is the pioneer of Forged Aluminum
Wheels for Motorcycles, which allowed them to create a product
that is lighter, stronger, durable and longer lasting than many other
wheels available on the market.
These forged 6151/T6 aluminum rims produce an enhanced ride
and lighter overall weight of your motorcycle. Also giving you a rim
that is 80% stronger then cast and 40% stronger then billet rims.
The Forging process has been in existence for hundreds of years
by using the technological advances of the modern era. Because of
the highest standards of strength and safety are utmost important,
this technology of shaping metal is still currently used in aerospace
and high performance automotive industries, but was never before
used in the motorcycle industry until Hi Point (now,
Carrozzeria)introduced it a few years ago.
Forging improves the structure of metal by refining the grain size of
the metal. This process makes metal stronger and less docile than
cast metal. The metal also has a greater resistance to fatigue and
impact. These rims are typically exhibiting up to 1.8 times more
strength than other manufactures that use a non-forging process.
As a result, these rims are approved by the NHTSA, D.O.T.,
Japan's JWL, and Europe's TUV.

| We are very surprised on how light the Vmax rims are. Front is 10 pounds and rear is 18.5 pounds after adding the drive flange. That put the front 1/2 a pound lighter then Lightcon and the rear 1.5 pounds lighter then Lightcon. Very impressive. Now you have 2 styles to chose form for light Vmax rims. Below are a few pictures of the Vmax rims. Look how nice the Galfer Rotors look on them. Ya Baby! |
